There is hair, yes—the dangerous kind.  The kind of hair that you remember felling because it feels the wind and you can see this.  It's the kind of hair I once had.




I just finished a residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach Florida and had an excellent and productive time with master artist Inka Essenhigh.

     Here are a few images of work from my MFA Thesis exhibition at NIU.  It's hard to account for my shift in trajectory other than to say that I've changed the tone of my voice and have made a conscious effort to be less elliptical and make paintings that sing rather than toil.
